Project DescriptionThe City of Cle Elum initiated a DowntownRevitalization Planning Project to enhance theappearance of 1st Street, increase economicdevelopment. and create a safe walkable streetscapeconsistent with their Complete Streets Ordinance.Stakeholderc, business and property o\rners,residents, the teneral public, Planning C.ommissionand Crty Council provided valuable input throughoutthe process. As a result, the Planning CommBsionrecomnended approval of a Preferred Altemativeto City Council. On June 27, 2017 City Councilunanimously adopted the preferred Alternative byResolution. This Alternative establishes a conceptualplan for street and parking configuration, streetscapeamenities, and landscape improvements for 1stStreet.
