WE will also continue one<in+rne businoss vrsitafions and round fables with elected <br />officials, potential exportors and the Porfs of Seaftle and Tacoma to ldentify needs, baniers and potential <br />solutions to obstacles preventlng growth. Llnks to resources will be provided on our websffes and oontinue to <br />provlde refenals to Commerce, SBDC, efc. <br />2. Support for regional economic research and regional plannlng efforts to implement target lndusby sector stateglee and <br />other economic developmcnt strategles, including cluster-based stsategles. Research and plannlng cfforts should support <br />increased living standards and increased foreign dlrect investment, and be aligned wlth the statewide,economic <br />development strategy. Regional assoclate developmenl organlzations retain their independence to address local <br />conc€rns and goals. We refer leads and coordinate introductions to people and programs fw <br />businesses and for worlcforce needs. <br />Partlcipate ln development of a countywlde economlc development plan in conjunction with other govemmental <br />jurisdictions and institutions. <br />We will continue our ertensive engagement in the cunent comprehensive p/ans of Kiftitas County and of the <br />cities of Ellensburg, Roslyn, Kiftitas, and Cle Elum. We will seek fo make those plans more open fo business <br />development and growth, and willseek fo meet changing needs and to remove baniers to investment in our <br />communities. Ihe coordination of the county wide strategies in our cunent economic development plan, as <br />well as other reglonal planning efforts, and improvement of freight mobility, wlll continue.
