These methods include zip code tracking. direct counts, and informal surveys.
This past year we added a zip code tool to our event cards which has allowed us to
track a percentage of travelers attending events and activities. This method has
allowed us to validate that our events are attracting visitors from greater than 50
miles in distance. We have also been able to validate that tourists from outside of
the State of Washington and even the United States are stopping and exploring Cle
Elum.
Our direct count methods include conducting walking counts throughout our events.
This is occurring at least every half hour out at locations where events are being
held. We also ask retail partners to help keep track by counting shoppers in their
businesses.
Addiiionally, we measure our results ihrough Google analytics, registration forms,
and social media reports on ads placed and engagements. We will also be adding
data from our new website which will feature as our hub for communication.
Slarting in 2022. we will be adding an informal survey to our marketing materials,
asking participants whether they are lodging overnight during their experience at our
events. At this time, it is hard to collect data direcily from our hotels, this process will
allow for a sarnpling of findings in relation to lodging.
2500 cha.acter limit
8l Funding
Does your organization have, or have you applied for, grant fundrng from other sources? lf not, why not? lf yes, please list
the funding you have for the project, including any volunteer and in-kind sources in Question 9l Project Budget
Overview.
Funding sources and amounts which have not yet been secured will be listed separately, in the field(s) directly below.
Finally. what changes would occur if the project couldn't be funded?
Other Funding*Does yoilr ofqarizaiion have. or have yoo applied lor fuBditrg from olbea sources?
*, Yes 'r No
Funding for which you have applied but not yet secured
