READINESS & CAPACITY BUILDING <br />Readiness S Capacity Building The purpose of readiness and capacity building is to raise the <br />living standards and to Improve the quality of life for all citizens In a community. It is a <br />comprehensive initiative to improve all aspects of a community's interdependent human <br />infrastructure, social infrastructure and physical infrastructure. It seeks to build Initiatives around <br />shared values, opportunities, problems, threats and concerns. Positive change begins with <br />creating shared vision that can be transformed into reality by goals, objectives and action plans. it <br />encourages leaders to avoid conflicts of interest, seek consensus and disengage from activities <br />that might benefit one group or individual at the expense of others. It also involves consensus <br />building that looks for the best solutions rather than politically expedient or popular. It is directed <br />towards increasing a community's leadership capacity for solving problems. Leaders in community <br />initiatives are shared so that responsibility and commitments are encouraged among broad base of <br />the population Leaders work to transform their communities for the better and inspire others to do <br />the same. It Is and educational process that helps citizen to understand the economic, social, <br />Political, environmental and psychological aspens of various solutions.
