BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR’S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL <br />AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE INTERSECTION CORRIDOR SAFETY <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CRP 313-21. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has received Highway Safety Improvement Program funding for <br />intersection safety improvements at various locations including along Kittitas and <br />Vantage Highways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The federal funding will be used for the preliminary engineering phase to design, <br />develop and prepare construction plans and specifications for these <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to begin work in the Spring of 2022 Kittitas County Public Works <br />is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation release the <br />federal funds for preliminary engineering; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair <br />acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the County’s <br />comprehensive plan for community development; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair’s signature on the Local <br />Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Intersection Corridor Safety <br />Improvements Project, CRP 313-21. <br /> <br />DATED on this 1st day of February 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> __________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik __________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz ___________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />______________________________
