Again, we feel 2O2O's numbers are skewed. As a result, we're including a breakdown of 20L9
410 entries (guess the corn kernel contest)
27% stayed overnight
7000 overall guests at The Patch
Based on the above, assume 27% stayed the night
= 1890 guests stayed the night
1890/3 people = 630 families stayed the night
Of those 530 families, we feel we can conservatively say 25% stayed for the patch experience, or 157
stays in all. *This is the one oreo we ollowed o little growth on our applicotion (L75 for 2022), given that
we were so conservotive on our numbers
Our second data collection method is a direct/informal survey that we do in person and when guests
call. We spoke with 112 guests in 2019 and asked the following questions:
Where are you visiting from?
How'd you hear about us?
Are you staying for the weekend and if so, where?
Of those directly surveyed, 20%were staying the night in paid accommodations and 62% overall were
from outside the county.
We believe this supports the findings of the larger, indirect survey via the guessing game.
*lt's worth noting that the out-of-county number is high (62%), because we are specifically seeking out
people who we believe are from outside the area and/or were calling for more information.
