Response 1: ProjecVEvent Description * Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame (ERHOF) has a museum that is open to the public year around. The museum inducts new members that are padicipants of rodeo's past every year for our ongoing displays to promote the history of the Ellensburg Rodeo. We are a separate non-profit organization in coordination with the Ellensburg Rodeo- Our pro.ject is to develop an Induciion Ceremony that will draw the supporters and advertise our museum to the public. Because the rodeo draws people from far and wide who are involved in the rodeo we will hold this event in close proximity io the Labor day weekend to draw people here at an earlier date to come to Ellensburg and enjoy the multiple activities going on all week. ln 2021 we decided to try an initial event at Spirit Therapeutic Riding Center. an outdoor arena that allows for up to 300 people to attend. Our plans were made when we felt lhe pandemic was lifting but in the end we modified as the resurgence began to alter the state rules for gatherings. We advertised with posters. newspaper ads, newsletters to our membership. sent out postcards and used Facebook and lnstagrant to get the word out. We offered a dinner prepared by the Cattlewomen of Kittitas County and a production of our 2 new lnductees and their history with the early Ellensburg Rodeo. We had an attendance of 125 people. 30 of these were from more than 50 miles away. We promoied our museum and the partners we have in Kittitas County. ln 2022 we can see so nrany ways to broaden this event to bring more people as we feel the pandemic should ease and life by Labor Day week should allow for more atiendance. The feedback we received from our supporters was very positive and has lead us to believe we can be more successful next year. ln 2022 we will bring in more lnductees and broaden our scope of adverlising and offer western entertainment to enhance the experience.
