Response 1: <br />ProjecVEvent <br />Description * <br />Video Link <br />List of lntended Use of Funds* <br />Employee Travel & Training <br />Social Media / Online Marketing <br />Print Advertising <br />TV / Radio Advertising <br />Venue lmage Promo <br />Computer Maintenance Expense <br />lT Support <br />This application is responding to a growing interest in Cle Elum for a way to partner <br />with our creative entrepreneurial busrnesses while promoting Cle Elum through <br />events that are creative and irrvite a festive weekend touring our comtrrunity. <br />Earlier this year, a group of local organizations met to discuss the development of an <br />Art District or Ad Commission to promote more art and help existing creative <br />entrepreneurship businesses in Cle Elum grow <br />On Labor Day weekend 2021, a very successful three-day event, "Art in the Heart of <br />the Cascade" was cospor'lsored with Pacific Crest Creative a new business in Cle <br />Elum. The event offered free art classes for kids. demonstrations by guest artists, <br />music. and an art swap. Tlre twos of the event was well attended. <br />Working closely with our community padners, Suncadia Resort. Roslyn Downtown <br />Association, Pacific Crest Creative, High-Country Artists and others, we are planning <br />three art and cultural experiences in 2022. The first event will be April 1 5th wilh an <br />Art Walk which will include a Chain Saw Carving Contest through downtown Cle <br />Elum. The Art Walk will offer an opportunity to meet existing creative <br />entrepreneurship businesses while experiencing Cle Elum retail and hospitality <br />businesses. <br />The second event will be a three-day, three community event which will take place ln <br />August 2022. The "Wandering Art Experience" will start in Cle Elum on August 19th. <br />Offering a variety of music. afi market, art swap, and a wine garden with introduction <br />to weekend arts instructors and more- Visitors will also be introduced to special <br />offerings by our local food and beverage businesses, and retail stores will host local <br />art displays. Saturday will be a full day for all ages to take pafi rn art classes, <br />participate in a mural project, and a sidewalk art chalk contest. As the weekend <br />unfolds tourists will be encouraged to travel between all three communities by using <br />a Wandering Ad Map card tltai can be validated when visiting business locations. <br />Validated cards will then be entered in prlze drawings. <br />The third art experience will be the 2nd Annual "Art in the Heart of the Cascades <br />Labor Day Ad Festival." Sept 3 - 5,2022.
