Methodology
Narrative *
Please explain.
ln 2021 attendance was tracked by direct count. Barcoded tickets were sold and zip
codes for purchasers were recorded at the time of sale. Tickets were scanned at the
gate for enky. Additionally, we collected accommodation information by asking for
overnight stay and accommodations information. Additionally, we collected
residence and accommodations information for contestants, vendors, and volunieers
through a registration process.
ln 2021 we had 2039 overall attendance. 1309 were frorn outside of Kittitas County.
236 were from outside of WA state. 1070 paid for overnighi lodging (hotel/motel, RV
or vacaiion rental). Using the 2.5 personslper room formula for paid lodging nights
(provided by the chamber) thai would make a total of 508 paid nights.
2022 overall attendance is based on projected seating capacity and contestant
increases expected. Then we used the percentage comparisons for out-of-county,
oui-of-state, and overnights fram 2021 as we expect a similar demographic in 2022
(Out of county 64%, Out of state 12%, & Overnight 52% of the overall attendance).
We then used the 2.5 persons/per room formula for the paid lodging (as provided by
the chamber). This gave us aur 2022 projections.
2500 character lirnil
Application Questions: Part 5
8l Funding
Does your organization have, or have you applied for, grant funding from other sources? lf not, why not? lf yes, please list
the funding you have for the project, including any volunteer and in-kind sources in Question 9l Project Budget
Overview-
Funding sources and amounts which have not yet been secured will be listed separately, in the field(s) directly below
Finally. what changes would occur if the project couldn't be funded?
Other Funding *Does yoLrr organization lrave, or have you applied fol funding lrom olher sources?
,. i Yes .o, No
Explanation *ll irot lvhy irrt?
The Cle Elum Roundup Association has not applied fcr other grant funding sources
at this time.
