The high <br />mountain seiting with our arena nestled in the irees is unique for rodeo and many <br />fans come to enjoy the sport in a nontraditional backdrop. <br />The Central Washington location and mulliple daylnight event attract patrons from <br />around the State. Cle Elum is close enough to drive to for a fun event, yet far <br />enough away that people choose to spend the night so they can enjoy the before & <br />after rodeo enteriainment and a full weekend of events and activities in Kittitas <br />County. <br />PRCAA /PRA are the highest level of sanctioning in the sport of rodeo. This means <br />that the best contestants from all over the world and the highest level of stock, along <br />with nationally recognized PRCA photographer, clown & announcer bring fans and <br />followers to Cle Elum and Kittitas County. <br />Additionally. rodeo royalty travel from across the pacific northwest to participate in a <br />weekend full of royalty activities. They often arrive on Tlrursday and stay for the <br />whole weekend. They bring followers and fans, as well as promote local businesses <br />and Roundup sponsors through visits and social media posts. Plus we can't deny <br />that they help with rodeo attendance as many little girls beg to meet the real <br />princesses and ponies. <br />ln 2021 we had 2039 in overall attendance. With more than 1300 from locations <br />outside of Kittiias CoLrnty and 236 fronr out of state or country. This information was <br />gathered using a direct count method with tickel purchases and registrations of <br />volunteers, contestants and vendors. <br />It's clear to see that rodeo contestants and fans don't mind traveling to join in the <br />wesiern way of life and enjoy the competition of rodeo at its finest. <br />2500 characief litrrii
