a <br />a <br />a <br />a <br />a <br />EXHIBIT F <br />EDUCATION AND OUTREACH TACTICS AND SUGGESTED GOALS <br />Education Glasses: This is classroom instruction of the Adventures in Boating course <br />sanctioned by Washington State Parks that qualifies passing students to obtain a Mandatory <br />Boater Education Card.. SmallAgency, 15 students, 1 Class. Medium Agency, 20 students, 1 Class. Large Agency, 50 students, 1 Class <br />Boating Safety Presentations to Groups: These are boating safety presentations to various <br />groups, yacht clubs, kayak clubs, anglers, and any groups that use boats on the water.. SmallAgency, 10 hours. Medium Agency, 15 hours. Large Agency, 25 hours <br />Boating Safety Presentations to Schools: These are presentations to local public and private <br />schools, K-12, colleges, or universities.. SmallAgency, 10 hours. Medium Agency, 15 hours. Large Agency, 25 hours <br />Vessel Rental Site Visits: These are site visits to local vessel rental sites if they exist. The intent <br />is to ensure the employees and renters are following the guidance on the Motor Vessel Rental <br />Safety Checklist (Form number P&R 4-446 - Rev O4l2O17). These can also be site visits to <br />businesses that rent out kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, or other small non-motorized <br />craft. The intent of visits in this case is to emphasize basic safety behaviours such as <br />encouraging renters to always wear a life jacket and encouraging boating in low hazard areas.. SmallAgency, 2 visits. Medium Agency, 4 visits. Large Agency, 6 visits <br />Participation in Community Events: These are events like county fairs, parades, and night outs <br />that have the ability to reach large numbers of community members. A qualified event requires <br />faceto-face interaction with community members. Participation on the water in regattas, races, <br />opening days where there is little to no face-to-face interaction between officers/deputies and <br />community members does not count as a "Community Event". Also, maintaining a screen line or <br />security area at an on-water event does not count for reporting event hours on the SOAR.. SmallAgency, 40 hours. Medium Agency, 150 hours. Large Agency, 275 hours <br />. Vessel Dealer Site Visits: These are visits to vessel dealerships and brokers, where applicable, <br />to ensure they are following dealer registration laws, educate them on any safety issues with type <br />of vessels they sell, and checks that required safety equipment is on board during test rides and <br />sea trials.
