BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - <br />AWARD SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BLOCK FUNDS TO KITTITAS <br />COUNTY, THE CITY OF ELLENSBURG AND THE CITY OF CLE ELUM <br />WHEREAS: Federal Transportation Funding is available to local agencies via the <br />Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program administered by <br />Kittitas County Department of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding availability in the current three-year cycle of STBG funding <br />allows for reinvestment by the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS: A Surface Transportation Block Grant application has been received from <br />Kittitas County, City of Ellensburg, and City of Cle Elum; and <br />WHEREAS: The total money available for award to be obligated by August 2, 2022, <br />from STBG funding is $1,169,424.00 with additional funds available <br />annually until 2024; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby award to the City of Ellensburg <br />$1,284,000.00 in Surface Transportation Block Grant funds supporting <br />Brick Rd Improvements; and <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award to the City of Cle Elum $747,108.00 in <br />Surface Transportation Block Grant funds supporting the First Street <br />Downtown Revitalization — Phase 3B Project; and <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award to Kittitas County $870,000.00 in <br />Surface Transportation Block Grant funds supporting the Vantage Hwy <br />over Cascade Canal Bridge (No. 89342) Replacement. <br />
