12/15/21. 9:45 AM newspaper -text (7).html Public Notice Kittitas County, Ellensburg WA REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS SUPPORTING DESIGN FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE #89342, VANTAGE HIGHWAY OVER CASCADE CANAL KITTITAS COUNTY, WA All submittals received after 5:00 PM Local Time, on January 13, 2022, will be discarded PURPOSE: The existing bridge (No. 89342) along Vantage Highway spanning the Cascade Irrigation Canal requires replacement. The existing bridge is currently load restricted and has recent damage from a vehicle accident. The project will include replacing and updating the current bridge, guardrail, approaches, and shoulders all while maintaining the channel for the Cascade Canal. All improvements will need to meet current WSDOT design standards. SCOPE OF PROJECT: The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering including but not limited to planning, project management, structural engineering, geo technical engineering, traffic engineering, civil engineering, 100% design plans, specifications and estimate package, for the replacement of the structure described. The selected firm will be expected to start on the project upon award and deliver a complete WSDOT approved PS&E package ready for advertisement for construction by July 31, 2022. FOR SUBMITTAL: If you wish to be considered for work under this SOQ, submit a sealed envelope to Kittitas County Public Works, at 411 N. Ruby St. Suite 1, Ellensburg WA 98926 by 5:00 pm local time on January 13, 2022. Submittals shall include a one-page cover letter with the firm name and contact information. Submittals shall also include five copies of your Statement of Qualifications describing the firm's or team's ability to professionally provide the requested services. Submittals received after 5:00 pm local time on January 13, 2022, will be disregarded. Kittitas County encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned consultant ferns to respond. The County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for any subsequent phases (such as right of way or construction) associated with this project. The County reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. SELECTION PROCESS AND PROPOSED SCHEDULE: Kittitas County's selection will be based on review of submittals in the following manner: 1. The firm's or team's qualifications and ability to perform the requested work (30 points) 2. Demonstrated experience with similar projects in the past five years (50 points) 3. Experience working in Kittitas County in the past five years (20 points) 4. Demonstrated ability keeping projects on time and within budget (20 points) 5.
