JT3 YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 04-202t -2022 CERTIFICATION OF 2022 EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Naches Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, certiffing to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District 105 the amount of excess property ta(es to be levied in yeat 2020 and collected in year 2021 for the Dishict's General Fund and Debt Service Fund; and providing for related matters. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NACHES VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. JT3, YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES WASHINGTON, as follows: Section I. Findings and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Naches Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington (the "District") takes note of the following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: (a) By Resolution No. 0l-2021-2022, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 (the"202l-22 Budget") that included certified General Fund educational programs and operation excess property taxes in the amount of $2,689,665 to be levied in 2021 and collecte d in 2022. The Board has determined that the amount of the District's Ceneral Fund educational programs and operation excess tax levy previously certified in the 2021-22 Budget of $2,689,665 should now be increased to $2,950,000. (b) 1"he2021-22 Budget included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes to pay debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax general obligation bonds in the amount of $1,650,000 to be levied in202l and collectedin2022. Section 2. Certification of General Fund Excess Property Tax Levy: Assessor Authorization. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District 105 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $2,950,000 to be levied in calendar year202l and collected in calendar year2022 for the District's General Fund. The Assessors of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, are authorized and directed, without further Board action, to reduce the General Fund excess property tax levy amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and collected in calendar year 2022 to be consistent with the limitations imposed by RCW 84.52.0531. Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Property Tax Levy. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District 105 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $ 1,650,000 to be levied in calendar year 2021 and collected in calendar year 2022for the District's Debt Service Fund. Section 4. General Authorization and Ratification. The Secretary to the Board, the Chair of the Board, the District's Director of Business and Operations, and other appropriate officers of the District are authorized to take all other actions and execute all other documents necessary to effectuate 5il6t97t.2
