There are no current plans to collect food waste.
Both the Statewide WCS and the 2008 Kittitas WCS break the overall waste stream into 4 sectors:
Commercial—defined as waste hauled by contracted or municipally operated vehicles in which 80
percent or more of the waste is from institutional, commercial, or industrial sources, and includes
C&D materials.
Residential—defined as waste hauled by contracted or municipally operated vehicles in which 80
percent or more of the waste is from single-family and/or multifamily residential sources.
Self-hauled Construction and Demolition (C&D)—defined as waste hauled by vehicles not
operated by a franchise or municipality and whose waste was generated because of construction or
demolition activities.
Self-hauled Other—defined as waste hauled by vehicles not operated by a franchise or municipality
and whose waste was not generated because of construction or demolition activities.
Food Yard & Garden Leaves
Yard & Garden Prunings Animal Carcasses
Crop Residues & Fruit Waste Animal Manure
Remainder/Composite Organic
Food Leaves & Grass
Prunings & Trimmings Agricultural Crop Residues
Manures Textiles
Remainder/Composite Organic
■ ■ ■
■ ■
■ ■
■ ■ ■
■ ■
■ ■
