Agricultural and urban development is in the lower elevations along river valleys and <br />account for approximately 20 percent of the County’s land use. An exception to this pattern is recreational <br />development near Snoqualmie Pass. Recreational, retirement, and second or summer homes have <br />developed near Cle Elum and Roslyn. This type of development is rapidly increasing in that part of the <br />County. The County land use map in Figure 2-1 shows the location of County-owned facilities. <br /> <br />Figure 2-1.
