<br />2020 Solid Waste and Moderate <br />Risk Waste Management Plan Update <br /> <br />7-14 AX0304191054PDX <br />recycling program on behalf of the 200-member manufacturers that sell their computers and TVs in <br />Washington State. The WMMFA has negotiated with collection sites throughout the state to provide <br />recycling services. Collection sites are required, at a minimum, in every County and every city with a <br />population of 10,000 or more. <br />Currently, Goodwill Ellensburg Store and Kittitas Valley Recycling Ellensburg each accept covered <br />electronics for free. Although not covered by E-Cycle Washington, other electronics and peripherals are <br />collected at Kittitas Valley Recycling. <br />7.10.2 Electronic Waste Needs <br />Local governments do not need to set up collection sites or pay for the recycling program. Recycling <br />plans submitted by the WMMFA include collection service throughout the County. <br />7.10.3 Electronic Waste Recommended Options and Implementation Actions <br />The following options for electronic waste are recommended. Each option and the associated <br />implementation actions are discussed below. <br />7.10.3.1 Monitor and Evaluate E-Waste Program <br />The County should continue to monitor the current E-Cycle program for effectiveness. by submitting An <br />annual "Satisfaction Report" with the following information is due to Ecology on March 1: <br /> Accessibility and convenience of services and how they are working in their community. <br /> What services aren't working and why. <br /> Suggestions for improvements to services plans provide. <br /> Description of public outreach and education. <br /> Any other relevant information. <br />Ecology will use information in these reports when evaluating recycling plan service levels and revisions. <br />7.10.3.2 E-Waste Education <br />Local governments are required by Ecology to provide their citizens with information about the E-Cycle <br />program through existing educational methods typically used by local government. This includes listing <br />locations and hours of operation of local collection sites and services. Other information is available in <br />Ecology’s Local Government Toolkit. <br />This public education program will promote the existing drop-off locations in Kittitas, Ellensburg, and Cle <br />Elum that are part of the state program. <br /> <br />
