The need for electronic bidding supporting Public Works construction cannot be <br />overstated. Today's dependency on electronic data sharing has not recognized in the <br />state's County Public Works bidding statues. It is quite likely that at some time in the <br />future, a similar preclusion against delivery under "sealed cover" is reasonably likely to <br />occur. PW desires no further friction with the State Auditor's Office regarding project <br />delivery. <br />PW has not contacted the Washington Association of Counties to determine the level of <br />interest statewide in legislative change.
