BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND KITTITAS <br />COUNTY, WASHINGTON FOR BOATING SAFETY AND EDUCATION SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission provides grant <br />assistance to agencies as part of their Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Program; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of participating in the RBS program to help <br />reduce the number and severity of recreational boating casualties of all types associated <br />with recreational boating and ensure a safe and enjoyable boating environment for all <br />users; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed <br />and accepted the application of the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office for a RBS Federal <br />Financial Assistance Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the Interlocal Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to enter into this Interlocal Agreement by action taken at <br />a regular meeting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement for the Housing of Inmates that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the Kittitas County Auditor pursuant <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />ATTEST: <br />RESOLUTION <br />2021. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />A ZZ F�O�I�,jVI <br />Douglas R. itchell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br />
