COMMISSIONERS’ MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />HR STUDY SESSION <br />The Board entered executive session at 11:00 AM for an anticipated length of 10 minutes to discuss the <br />performance of a public employee. Anticipated action: None. At 11:10 AM the Board extended the <br />executive session for an additional 10 minutes. At 11:20 AM the Board extended the executive session <br />for an additional 10 minutes. The Board exited executive session at 10:30 AM with no action taken. <br />The Board took a five-minute recess. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH TEAMSTERS 760 (LINE) – IMPLEMENT PAYROLL <br />DEDUCTION FOR THE TEAMSTERS RETIREE WELFARE TRUST <br />Director Young presented a Letter of Agreement (LOA) with Teamsters 760 – Line Deputies, allowing <br />their participation in the Teamsters Retiree Welfare Trust via payroll deduction for the RWT Plus Plan <br />($94.85/month). Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the LOA, and Commissioner Osiadacz <br />seconded. The motion carried, 3:0. <br />WAGE SURVEY UPDATE <br />Director Young provided a brief update on the wage survey. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – PERFORMANCE OF A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE – RCW 42.30.110 – (g) – TO EVALUATE <br />THE QUALIFICATIONS OF AN APPLICANT FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT OR TO REVIEW THE <br />PERFORMANCE OF A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE. HOWEVER, SUBJECT TO RCW 42.30.140(4), DISCUSSION BY A <br />GOVERNING BODY OF SALARIES, WAGES, AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT TO BE <br />GENERALLY APPLIED WITHIN THE AGENCY SHALL OCCUR IN A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND <br />WHEN A GOVERNING BODY ELECTS TO TAKE FINAL ACTION HIRING, SETTING THE SALARY OF AN <br />INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE OR CLASS OF EMPLOYEES, OR DISCHARGING OR DISCIPLINING AN EMPLOYEE, <br />THAT ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN IN A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. <br />The Board entered executive session at 11:47 AM for an anticipated length of 20 minutes to discuss the <br />performance of a public employee.
