Tourism-Related Facility Operational Funding Narrative <br />(Municipality Applications Only) <br />For the Year 2022 <br />1. Operational Spending: Please explain your request for operational funding and how it is <br />directly related to supporting the operations of a tourism-related facility owned or operated by <br />a municipality or public facilities district. <br />The Vantage Boat Launch is jointly managed by Grant PUD #2 and Kittitas County. The launch is <br />heavily used throughout the summer with multiple national holidays sending launch enthusiasts <br />parking on dry grass or closing local roadways to emergency vehicle access. Providing additional <br />overflow parking at, or near the launch, significantly improves public safety and adds to the <br />tourism/recreational experience of those visiting the County. <br />2. Sustainability Strategy: Please describe your strategy for long-term operational <br />sustainability. lnclude any specific progress toward this goal. <br />Once constructed, public works will assume ongoing maintenance of additional boat launch <br />parking facilities. <br />3.
