L. No. 94-135 (1975) (codified as <br />amended at Title 42, U.S. Code, section 6101 ef seg.), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age in any program or <br />activity receiving federal financial assistance. <br />Article XIV - Givil Rights Act of 198{ - Title Vl <br />Recipients must comply with the requirements of Title Vl of the civil Rights Act of 1964 (codified as amended at 42 u.s.c. <br />section 2000d ef seg.), which Provides that no person in the United States will, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, <br />be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or ac.tivity <br />receiving federal financial assistance. F. n. <br />Parl7. <br />Arficle XV - Applicabllity of DHS Standard Terms and Gonditions to Trtbes <br />The DHS Standard Terms and Conditions are a restatement of general requirements imposed upon recipients and flow dovrrn <br />to subrecipients as a matter of law, regulation, or executive order. lf the requirement does not appy to lndian tribes or there <br />is a federal law or regulation exempting its applioation to lndian kibes, then the acceflance by Tribes of, or acquiescenoe <br />to, DHS Standard Terms and Conditions does not change or alter its inapplioability to an lndian tribe. The exeoution of grant <br />docurnents is not intended to change, alter, amend, or impose additional liability or responsibility upon the Tribe where it does <br />not already exist. <br />Article XVI- Notic-e of Funding Opportunity Requirements <br />All the insfuctions, guidance, limitations, and other conditions set forth in the Notice of Fundirrg Opportunity (NOFO) for this <br />program are incorporated here S reference in the award terms and conditions.
