IV. PLAN IMPLEMENTATION A. Good Housekeepinq and practices To limit the risk of fires, residents shat take the fotowingprecautions: 1' Design and consfiuct dwelring to conform to Kcwul standards,2' Maintain community and pririate their properrv a rir"rire standards,3' Minimize the storage of combustible materiars. Limited the outside storage ofcombustible material, debris or unmanaged undergrowt\-foriage or ground cover3' Make sure that-community owned doors, hailways, stairs, and other exit routesare kept free of obstructions. 1 P_roperly dispose of combustibre materials in appropriate containers.5' H:"r# store flammable materials in wen-ventilated areas away from ignition 7 ' Keep incompatifrl (i.e,, chemicaly reactive) substances away from each other.8' Perform "hot activities" (i.e., welding, working with an open flame, exteriorbuming or other ignition sources) in"controiled and weil-ventilated areas.9-.
