KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM October 12, 2021 <br />Board members present Brett Wachsmith, Chairman, Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Patti Stacey, Lisa Lawrence, Mark Cook (out at 2:28 p.m.), and one member of the <br />public. <br />Meeting called to order at 2:01 p.m. At 2:02 p.m. Commissioner Wachsmith announced per <br />RCW that the Board would recess into Executive Session for 10 minutes to consider the <br />minimum price at which real estate will be offered for sale or lease when public knowledge <br />regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of decreased price. However, final action <br />selling or leasing public property shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. Action was <br />anticipated. At 2:12 p.m. the Board reconvened and announced at 2:13 p.m. that they would <br />recess into executive session for an additional 15 minutes. At 2:28 p.m. the Board reconvened <br />and directed staff to co -locate and move forward with the sale and purchase of the property. <br />Update on Transfer Station Project: Patti informed the Board that the project is on schedule, <br />the road is in, the sidewalks are poured, and that Phase 1 should be 100% complete by the end of <br />October. She informed the Board they have an invite on their calendar for October 27`" at 11 a.m. <br />to celebrate this milestone. <br />Upper County Transfer Station: Patti informed the Board that she has been working with <br />Waste Management on what it would take to open on Mondays stating that staffing would be the <br />biggest issue if we move forward. Patti informed the Board that she has been working with Pat <br />Deneen and the State for a shared access driveway and that she will be working with legal since <br />the location is on the property line. <br />Maintenance HVAC Improvements Cares Funding: Patti informed the Board that she <br />discussed the funding option with Judy Pless and wanted Board approval for the funding option. <br />The Board was in favor. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: None <br />Meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m. <br />LisaALawrence <br />2021-10-12 MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
