BOARD OF COLTNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COLINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2O2I - I U b <br />TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2022 <br />AND AUTHORIZETHE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2022 on <br />October 7,2021, and October 14,2021; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 21,2021, at2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas <br />County Public Works and four (a) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS:The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of GMCO <br />Corporation for Item #1 Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3 <br />RoadSaver - Soil Stabilizer; and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for ltem #2 <br />Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride be accepted for Snow & Ice Control <br />Products for 2022; and <br />NOW' THERBFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2022 Snow & Ice Control Products to GMCO Corporation <br />for Item #l Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3 RoadSaver - Soil Stabilizer; <br />and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for ltem #2 Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium <br />Chloride upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract <br />documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />DATED this 2nd day of November 2021, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY,SHINGTON <br />Brett Chairman <br />Julie Kjorsvik//lililll <br />n Deputv Clerk of the Board-\r Mandy Buchholz
