21 <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTATION: GOALS, S TRATEGIES, OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES <br />A goal is what we aim to do to address our priorities. The strategies are how we will accomplish our <br />goal. The objectives provide measurable targets for strategy implementation. Finally, the activities, <br />timeline, and person responsible outline our action plan for making progress. <br /> <br />Goal I Serve as a liaison to policy makers to increase awareness and facilitate solutions to <br />the issues faced by people with DD. <br />Strategy A Make recommendations to BOCC about services, gaps in services, and budget for DD <br />services <br />Objectives <br />1. Present recommendations to the county DD coordinator about the county DD <br />budget by November of each year. <br />2. Complete a biannual DD plan that includes a picture of DD in Kittitas County, a <br />description of services, an analysis of gaps in services, and priority areas of <br />improvement every other year by June. <br />3. Provide feedback and recommendations to BOCC about DD issues as needed <br />and/or upon request. <br />ACTIVITIES TIMELINE PERSON RESPONSIBLE <br />Review and make recommendation on <br />county DD budget Annually in October DDAC <br />Establish a DD biennial plan subcommittee Every odd year in January DDAC <br />Review and update DD biennial plan Every odd year by May DDAC <br />Present plan to BOCC during special <br />meeting Every odd year by June DDAC <br />Identify other priority areas or emerging <br />issues to provide feedback on Annually in January DDAC <br />Strategy B Educate and inform other local policy makers about the issues faced by people with DD. <br />Objectives 1. Identify at least one priority issue each legislative session to advocate for or <br />against by January of each year. <br />2.
