General Provisions <br />14.08.030 Lands to which this chapter applies. <br />This chapter shall apply to all areas of special flood hazards within the jurisdiction of unincorporated <br />Kittitas County. (Ord.2001-03;Ord.93-18 5 3.1, 1993). <br />14.08.040 Basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard. <br />The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal lnsurance Administrator in a scientific and <br />engineering report entitled "The Flood lnsurance Study for Kittitas County, Washington and <br />lncorporated Areas," dated September 24,2021, and any revisions thereto, with accompanying <br />Flood lnsurance Rate Maps (FIRM) , and any revisions thereto, are hereby adopted by reference and <br />declared to be a part of this chapter. The flood insurance study and the FIRM are on file at the <br />Kittitas County Public Works Department at 411 N Ruby ST, Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926. The best <br />available information for flood hazard area identification as outlined in KCC 14.08.120 shall be the <br />basis for regulation until a new FIRM is issued which incorporates the data utilized under KCC <br />14.08.120. <br />@td-414415,2014; Ord.2012-009,2012; Ord.2007-22,2007; Ord.2001-03; Ord. 93-18 5 3.2, 1993) <br />14.08.050 Compliance. <br />No structure or land shall hereafter be constructed, located, extended, convefted, or altered without <br />full compliance with the terms of this chapter and other applicable regulations. (Ord. 2001-03; Ord. <br />93-18 $ 3.3, 1993). <br />1 4.08.055 Penalties for Noncompliance. <br />No structure or land shall hereafter be constructed, located, extended, convefted, or altered without <br />full compliance with the terms of this ordinance and other applicable regulations. Violations of the <br />provisions of this ordinance by failure to comply with any of its requirements (including violations of <br />conditions and safeguards established in connection with conditions), is subject to penalties and <br />enforcement under Title 18 KCC.
