From:Kelly Bacon (CD)
To:Wedin, Lathan; steve.lathrop1 steve.lathrop1
Subject:RE: LP-21-00002 Suncadia Phase 3 Division 17 Tumble Creek - Request for Informtion
Date:Tuesday, September 7, 2021 10:16:23 AM
Good morning,

Washington State Department of Health has responded to the additional information with the
following:

Kelly:

The response did not identify or enumerate the total number of new connections that are being proposed.

As noted, at this time, DOH records show the following:

992 Active connections
1501 Approved connections

While this shows 509 available connections, DOH has observed on the order of 4 to 6 applications for additional
connections from Suncadia over the past 2 to 3 years. The construction of the homes for these applications does not
occur instantly and does not change the active connections for the system – so the water system can continue to look
like it has plenty of capacity.

DOH is seeking a summary, from Suncadia, that identifies each application that is seeking connections greater than
“992” and the total number of connections being sought for each application.

If you or the water system has any questions or concerns, please contact DOH, thanks,

Russell E. Mau, PhD, PE
Regional Engineer
Office of Drinking Water
Washington State Department of Health
16201 East Indiana Avenue, Suite 1500, Spokane Valley, WA 99216
Russell.Mau@doh.wa.gov
509-329-2116 | www.doh.wa.gov

Additional information is required by the Department of Health. Please provide the requested
information as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Kelly Bacon
Planner I
Kittitas County Community Development Services
411 N.
