10/05/2021 MINUTES 2 <br />PUBLIC HEARING MARIAN MEADOWS DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT CDS <br /> <br />At 2:08 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened the Public Hearing continued <br />from July 20, 2021, to consider the Marian Meadows Development <br />Agreement (DV-19-00001). He noted the record was closed. <br /> DAN CARLSON, CDS DIRECTOR said they received an updated Exhibit B <br />including new mitigation and a copy of a Voluntary Mitigation <br />Agreement between the Easton Ridge Land Company and Kittitas County <br />Fire District #3 and reviewed those documents. He recommended <br />opening the record to allow inclusion of that information and to <br />allow public comment specified to only those topics. He said if the <br />Board were to approve the Development Agreement, Staff could come <br />back with enabling documents at an upcoming Agenda. DEAN WILLIAMS, ATTORNEY REPRESENTING THE APPLICANT said they appreciated the extra <br />time to negotiate with the Fire District and recommended approval. <br /> THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING SPECIFIC TO NEW INFORMATION SUBMITTED INTO THE RECORD: TERRI CAMPBELL, FIRE DISTRICT #3 acknowledged they <br />came to an agreement with the applicant. CHRIS HELGESON, FIRE CHIEF OF DISTRICT #3 thanked the Board for allowing additional time for <br />them to be able to come to an agreement. TIM SCHERMETZLER, ATTORNEY FOR FIRE DISTRICT #3 thanked the Board for allowing extra time to <br />come to an agreement and recommended Board approval. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT approve the Marian Meadows Development <br />Agreement, subject to changes to Section 2.5 and 4.3 and Exhibit B <br />including the approved mitigation agreement between the applicant <br />and Kittitas Fire District 3 and direct Staff to prepare enabling <br />documents. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH seconded. 2-0, <br /> COMMISSIONER WRIGHT felt the applicant has worked hard and in good <br />faith to address the community’s concerns from the original vision <br />and recognized the impacts. <br /> <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
