SEPTEMBER 28, 2021 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Stephanie <br />Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor; Lisa Young, HR Director; Kady <br />Porterfield, Event Center Director; Carly Brettmann, Communications <br />Director and two members of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EVENT CENTER UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />an update from Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director regarding <br />sponsorship opportunities at the Event Center. <br /> <br />Ms. Porterfield updated the Board on her conversation with the <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Board. She shared the timeline presented as well as <br />the clause in the Contract that is causing issues to move forward. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright requested to enter into Executive Session <br />regarding potential litigation. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br />At 11:14 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session for ten minutes with the Board, Ms. <br />Porterfield and Ms. Hartung to discuss with legal counsel <br />representing the agency matters relating to agency enforcement <br />actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency <br />litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the <br />governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is <br />likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the <br />discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial <br />consequence to the agency. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:24 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. The <br />Board directed Commissioner Wright to set a meeting with the <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Board, Deputy Prosecutor Hartung and Director <br />Porterfield. <br /> <br />*Participant change out. <br /> <br />At 11:25 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />back into Executive Session for five minutes with the Board,
