Cook and Justin Turnbull. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff submit a final deed for Sparks Road property going to Washington State <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) pursuant to Resolution 2020-126. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) signed an agreement with WSDOT <br />providing necessary Sparks Road right of way supporting I-90 construction. <br />• WSDOT has yet to produce a final deed for BoCC action. <br />• Staff will provide the final deed for BoCC action upon receipt. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In 2020 (Resolution 2020-126 attached as EXHIBIT 1) the BoCC authorized conveyance <br />of Sparks Road right way supporting I-90 construction. The final deed conveying the <br />property to WSDOT was never provided to staff for BoCC action. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Recently, staff reached out to WSDOT and began discussions finalizing the required <br />property transfer.
