The design flow rate of 268 CFS was <br />evaluated for adverse impacts to downstream property owners. Modeling results affirm <br />insignificant increases in water surface elevations likely to impact downstream property owners <br />under existing conditions (current culverts). Residents maintain that the County should mitigate <br />their existing culverts at the fire flow rate of 448 CFS. This ensures maximum elimination of <br />flood risk for downstream property owners. As Public Works Director, I have declined to <br />mitigate the project as I am confident in our diligence and care in project development.
