BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOL <br />NO.2021 viSE <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FUND FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE KITTITAS <br />VALLEY EVENT CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County currently has a fund 309 Rodeo Grounds Capital Improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the name of the fund 309 is being changed to KVEC Capital Improvements as the Kittitas <br />Valley Event Center faces widely aging facilities in need of improvements, repairs, and <br />maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />wHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />additional funding that surpasses the annual approved General Fund budget is often <br />needed in order to complete facility improvements, repairs, and maintenance; and <br />the Kittitas valley Event center has activated a new facility sponsorship program; and <br />the Kittitas Valley Event Center is establishing facility sponsorship revenue be deposited <br />into the 309 fund; and <br />that fund will be solely used for capital facility projects at the Kittitas Valley Event <br />Center; and <br />WHEREAS' all projects will cost a minimum of $5,000 as Kittitas County has a capitalization limit of <br />$5,000; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 97-43 gives the Event Center Director authority to sign on projects up to <br />$10,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners will approve all projects in the amount $10,000 or <br />more. <br />NOW THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby establishes the KVEC Facility Sponsorship Fund. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Event Center Director be authorized to negotiate and execute <br />sponsorship documents and partner agreements. <br />DArED trri.
