BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 -_____ <br /> <br />Authorizing the Chair’s Signature on a Quit Claim Deed for Washington State Department <br />of Transportation for a Portion of Sparks Road <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners amended Washington State Department of <br />Transportation (WSDOT) Agreement GM 752 with Resolution 2020-126 <br />supporting construction of Interstate 90 roadway improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Resolution 2020-204 authorized the Chair’s signature on the Quit Claim Deed for <br />a portion of Sparks Road to the WSDOT, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Following execution of the deed by the Chair of County Commissioners WSDOT <br />staff determined errors existed in the deed that they provided for Board action; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Public Works staff have worked with WSDOT corrected the errors on the Sparks <br />Road deed from Resolution 2020-204, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: A corrected Quit Claim deed is now available for Chair signature, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chairman’s signature on a Quit Claim Deed <br />for a portion of Sparks Road to WSDOT supporting current Int erstate 90 roadway improvements. <br /> <br />DATED this 17th day of August 2021, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik ________________________________ <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> _______________________________ ________________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
