SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT (See inshuction on reverse) <br />The National Iltemet Crimes Against Children (CAC) Task Force Program, as established by the PROTECT Ou Children Act of2008, consists of State and local <br />law enforcement task forces dedicated to developing effective responses to online enticement ofchildren by sexual predators, child exploitation, md child obscenity <br />md pomography cases. Each State and local task force that is part of the national program shall: I ) consist of State and local investigators, prosecutors, forensic <br />specialists, and education specialists who are dedicated to addressing the goals ofthe task force; 2) engage in proactive investigationi, foreniic examinations, and <br />effective prosecutions oflntemet crimes against children;3) provide forensic, preventive, and investigative assistmce to puents, educators, prosecutors, law <br />enforcement, and others conceme d with htemet crimes against children; 4) develop multijurisdictional, multiagency partnerships md responses to Intemet crimes <br />against children offenses through ongoing infomational, adminishative, ud technological support to other Staie andlocal law inforcement agencies, as a means for <br />such agencies to acquire the necessary knowledge, persomel, and specialized equipment to investigate and prosecute such offenses; 5) particifate in nationally <br />coordinated investigations in uy case in which the Attomey General detemines such participation to be neiessary, as pemitted by the availible resouce of such <br />oJP FORM 4000/2 (REV. 4-88)
