Sitkin to be the olficial position of Fire District #3 (the ..District,,) as a whole, including all comrnissioners acting in tlieir official capacity, and herety respond onihat busis.
while your letter sets forth your demands for rnitigation and, at least some basis for them, it doesnot provide the other information ERLC requested. Specifically, ERLC requested, and has notreceived, the fol lowing:
t.
2.
A detail of all projects within the Fire District's jurisdiction that have been asked to providemitigation for ernergency rnedical services.
An explanation of any mitigation that has been required for any other development withthe Fire District's jurisdiction's and how that mitigation was arrived at.
Please provide this inlormation in your next communication, as it should be readily available . If itwill save time, please dispense with any "explanation" and forward prior agreements themselvesfor our review.
ERLC is concerned about the focused nature of your proposal on the Marian Meadowsdevelopment, itt isolation. In particular, without the above information, it appears that nodevelopment proposal has ever been asked to provide mitigation as you propose. lf this is true,we cannot be assured that any_of the improvements to servi"e, facilities, uni.quip*.r,tihu, youdiscuss will ever come to fruition.
Your proposal calls for permanently limiting any new structures in Marian Meadows to 24 feethigh' This, in effect, is a demand to permanently rewrite Kittitas County code within the District. To 9yf knowledge, no other development has ever been asked to agree to such a condition. Thiscondition is not reasonably necessary as a direct result of the propoled development, but instead,in your own words, is associated with the District's own capabilitLs or lack thereof. Rs a practicalmatter, in areas where there is significant snowfall. most;huctures are over24 feet tall becausethe construction best practice is to use high pitched roofs that prevent accumulation of snow atopthe structure. This is an unreasonable dernand, not related to the proposed development, and unlessthe.District is asking the Board of County Commission.rr to i*pore this requirement Districr-wide, ERLC will not agree to it.
lr tJ:s) -lil-lltt? . t;: ( tl5) -ljt-fst8
I l:O I Sl R " Sr. ':' Srritc I -lt) , llcllsr rrc- \\ .\ ()J{(ro,l
rr rr rr ..jrrrr rrLlirrrrlrr.clir\\ .cr)rrr
