Response 1:
ProjecUEvent
Description *
About: Our goal in creating this tournament is to take advantage of the Axe
throwing trend that is svreeping ihe nation. With the importance of getting outside
and staying active at an all iime high, this is the perfect event. Nelson Farm, our
decommissioned dairy farm, is such a unique setting that not enough people get to
truly enjoy.
The tournament will start in the morning and go all the v\ay into the early evening.
When not participating or spectating, visitors will be able to partake in other
activities such as darts, corn hole, wine/beer tasting, etc. The primary focus is the
tournament but that will certainly not take a\ ray from all of the other offerings this
unique setiing has to offer. With a potential partnership with High Couniry Log
Showin Roslyn, we would be able to offer other logging related activities such as
vrood chopping and chain-sawing.
Market: Our primary audience for this event continues to attract overnight resort
guests and day visitors from all over ihe PNW; Suncadia homeouners, their friends
and families; and many visitors from our local communities. Our secondary
audience includes those visiting for other reasons (other events and conferences)
vrfro also have an interest in seasonal festivals^
2500 character lin-it
List of lntended Use of Funds *
Axe Throwing Equipment such as axes, handles, and
markers
Flyer and Signs such as Posters, Banners, Event
Vendors for complimentary tastings such as donuts,
Digital advertising: Such as resort vr,ebsite, resort
Print Advedising: Such as regional Seattle/Bellevue
Radio Advertising: Such as regional Seattle/Bellevue
Meterials such as lumber and screun to build
additional axe throwing lanes
2l Supporting Kittitas County as a tourism destination.
1.
