KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 3, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to amend County <br />Road Project (CRP) number 303-20 supporting the <br />resurfacing of Fairview Road to include installation of <br />a bridge. <br />BACKGROUND: Resolution 2021-072 approved CRP No. 303-20 for <br />improvements to Fairview Road. CRP No. 303-20 <br />includes pavement work between mile post 5.13 and <br />mile post 5.42. In addition to pavement work, a <br />prefabricated bridge is to be installed. This amends the <br />CRP description to include installation of the bridge. <br />INTERACTION: <br />A commitment was entered into May 27, 2020, to <br />restore the agricultural access to property altered by <br />our Fairview Road Widening and Coleman Creek <br />Structures Project in 2020. Our commitment, part of <br />the right of way negotiation, was to supply and install <br />a structure to cross the newly aligned Coleman Creek <br />and restore the agricultural access. <br />County forces will perform the work to pave the <br />roadway and install the bridge. Funding in the amount <br />of $220,000.00 will come from the County road fund. <br />This value has not been revised as the previous <br />estimate included the installation of the bridge. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution amending County Road <br />Project (CRP) number 303-20 supporting the <br />resurfacing of Fairview Road to include installation of <br />a bridge <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution amending CRP No. 303-20 <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
