taskforce;6)establishoradoptinvestigativeandprosecutionstandardsconsistentwithestablishednorms,towhichsuchtaskforceshallcomply;7)investigate,andseekprosecutionontipsrelatedtoInternetcrimesagainstchildren,includingtipsfromOperationFairplay,theNationalInternetCrimesAgainstChildrenDataSystem,theNationalCenterforMissingandExploitedChildren'sCyberTipline,ICACtaskforces,andotherFederal,State,andlocalagencies,withprioritybeinggiventoinvestigateleadsthatindicatethepossibilityofidentifyingorrescuingchildvictims,includinginvestigativeleadsthatindicatealikelihoodofseriousnessofoffenseordangerousnesstothecommunity;8)developproceduresforhandlingseizedevidenceforICACtaskforceleadagenciesandaffiliateagencies;9)maintainreportsrequiredbyOJJDPandotherreportsandrecordsasdeterminedbytheAttorneyGeneral;and,10)seektocomplywithnationalstandardsregardingtheinvestigationandprosecutionofInternetcrimesagainstchildren,assetforthbytheAttorneyGeneral,totheextentsuchstandardsareconsistentwiththelawoftheStatewherethetaskforceislocated.AstheleadlawenforcementagencyfortheICACTaskForceintheStateofWashington,theSeattlePoliceDeparttnentproactivelyandreactivelyinvestigatesanevergrowingnumberoftechnology-facilitatedcrimesagainstchildren.EachyearsincetheICACTaskForcebegan,theSeattlePoliceDepartmenthassuccessfullyexpandedthenumberofinvestigativepartneragencieswithinWashingtonState,whichimprovestheoverallTaskForce'sresponsetointerdict,investigateandprosecuteICACcases.Twentyfive(25)ofthe29countiesinWashingtonStatehaverepresentationonthestatewideICACTaskForce.ThisnewfundingwillsupportthesalaryandbenefitcostsassociatedwithadedicatedfulltimeProgramManager,travelandtrainingcostsfordetectivesandforensicinvestigators,andthepurchaseofsoftwareandequipmentneededtostayabreastofemergingtechnologies.ThefundingwillalsosupportregionaltrainingandeducationopportunitiesforTaskForcepartnersandequipmenttosupporttheirinvestigations.TaskForcememberswillutilizeNetSmartzandotherNCMECtoolstoeducateteachers,students,andparentsaboutthedangersoftheInternet.NCA/CF
