Multiple attempts at repairing the <br />stave pipe were made due to not knowing if this was a live line or not. None of the repair attempts were successful. <br />City engineers came out to veriff that this pipe was to be abandoned. The pipe was crushed in place and backfitled <br />with 1 Ya" minus drain rock. There was one soft spot found during excavation that was next to a bollard that was to be <br />removed. The unsuiiable material was dug out and filled wlth T, CY af concrete. Due to the soft nature of the <br />subgrade, during paving the toaded trucks created ruts into the subgrade as they backed up to the paving machine. ln <br />order to continue with paving, this was compensated for with additional HMA ptaced. This required an additional '16.26 <br />TNS of HMA. Costs included to expedite the schedule to finish before the 7i6121 event. <br />ALSC Archltects.
