KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM July 12, 2021 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others In -Person: Dan Carlson and Jeremy Johnston, Community <br />Development Services; Amy Cziske and Kylee Wuesthoff, <br />Treasurer's Office; Mark Cook and Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; <br />and Bruce Coe, Ian Elliot, Steve Douglas and Michael Lundin, <br />Planning Commissioners. <br />Others via WebEx: Mike Flory, Bridget Pechtel, Rachael Stevie, <br />Jeremiah Cromie, Kelly Bacon and Jessica Miller, Community <br />Development Services; Neil Caulkins, Prosecuting Attorney; <br />Warren Taylor, Planning Commissioner; Taylor Crouch, Board of <br />County Commissioners; and five (5) members of the public. <br />At 2:05 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />BOCC/PLANNING COMMISSION JOINT MEETING - DISCUSS CURRENT STATUS <br />AND NEXT STEPS FOR PREDICTIVE MAPPING IN THE COUNTY <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson provided an introduction and background <br />for the discussion on the current status and next steps for <br />predictive mapping in the county. This tool will help in <br />answering questions and creating visual scenarios for future <br />planning. The next periodic update is due in 2026. Planning <br />Commissioners presented ideas and concerns regarding the <br />predictive mapping and growth of Kittitas County to the Board of <br />County Commissioners. The goal is to come up with a work program <br />for what this project needs to look like and a have a <br />collaborative process, in terms of what we do next, between the <br />Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners. Staff <br />will put together a timeline on developing the visualization <br />maps and tools and bring it back to the BoCC. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />2021-7-12 MINUTES 1 <br />
