The requirements may be substituted witha combination of certification through the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) program and <br />relevant work experience on a case-by-case basis. <br />Experience in working with local, county, and state government agencies and elected officials. <br />Experience in public relations, including interaction wlth the media. <br />Ability to manage and update websites. <br />7.2 <br />8.0 <br />8.1 <br />8.4 <br />8.2 <br />8.3 <br />Valid Washington State Driver license and appropriate insurane,e at time of hire for work-related <br />travel. <br />DESIRABLE QUALIF1CATIONS AND ABILITIES <br />Experience in the following professions: community development, business, finance, marketing, <br />advertising and promotion, property management, or a related field. <br />Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). <br />WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee typically works in an office environment. <br />Frequent travel, under all weather and road conditions, is required throughout the year for the <br />purposes of Business and lndustry attraction and the overall promotion of Kittitas County. <br />lncumbent must be available for meetings and other events after standard work hours. <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods <br />of time, as well as to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, bend, climb, turn, twist, ?nd use <br />hand/finger dexterity to handle objects and operate office equipment. The employee is frequengy <br />required to operate a County-provided vehicle during the course of official busineis and lift and/or <br />move items up to forty (40) pounds. <br />Persons in this classification must, with or without accommodation, speak and hear within normal <br />ranges, communicate via telephone, and possess close vision acuity sufficient to read small print. <br />The duties listed above are not inclusive of all the duties an employee may be assigned to perform. <br />Should the need arise, this position may be assigned to work under the direction or dther agencies or <br />departments in order to assist in lhe development, creation, or compilation of data essential to the basic <br />function.
