Supervision and guidance are received <br />directlyfrom the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce CEO. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Persons in this position supervise the daily work activities of all personnel within the Economic <br />Development Department. <br />SPEGIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Serve as a leader in recruiting and assisting businesses interested in locating in Kittitas County. <br />lmplement and maintain Economic Development Best Practices for: Business & lndustryRecruitment, Business Retention & Expansion, Workforce Development, Real Estate <br />Development & Reuse, and small Business and EntrepreneurialAssistance. <br />Develop, recommend, and implement the county's Economic Development Strategy & Work plan. <br />Collaborate with the Council of Government for the advancement of overall economicdevelopment goals and objectives. <br />ldentify and maintain an inventory of the available properties and disposition of properties needed <br />for econom ic development projects. <br />Meet with affeoted property owners in potential economic development areas to assess and <br />coordinate the county's economic development efforts. <br />Develop, implement, and participate in special business community events to promote business <br />development and vitality. <br />Build effective relationships with the buslness community, economic development planning <br />advisory boards, economic development agencies, elected bfficials, and governmental agencies <br />in furthering the County's economic development goals. <br />Assist and advocate for businesses and industry during permitting efforts. <br />Monitor County actions/policies related to economic development.
