3.Will your organization be capable of supporting this position in the future without support from <br />this fund?Please describe your plan and include target dates for implementation and completion. <br />If no plan is currently in place and/or no plans are being made,please explain why. <br />It is always the goal of the Kittitas County Chamber to be self-sustaining.The public/private partnership is <br />needed in order to support these positions.The work to be accomplished through the Kittitas County <br />Chamber of Commerce is a service to the county and the partners involved.These funds provided through <br />the distressed funds are a source in order to identify and implement required economic development tools, <br />programs and initiatives to further the competitiveness of Kittitas County. <br />The additional request in this application will provide objectives and goals that can be outcome based and <br />include deliverables to measure our success.The development of the strategic plan will provide target dates <br />for implementation and completion.This planning process will include the best practices of all the partners <br />throughout the county including government agencies,economic development groups,downtown <br />associations,land use and environment agencies,and many others. <br />4.Will this position serve the needs and/or interests of multiple jurisdictions and/or organizations? <br />Please explain in detail.Absolutely,the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce serves many partners <br />from Vantage to Snoqualmie Pass;and beyond.These three positions will bring resources locally,state <br />and federally.There will be many positive opportunities with these positions.It will provide best <br />practices in a wide range of goals,it will continue the mantra of the county -working together,and it <br />will solidify ongoing efforts throughout the county and the projects that are occurring now and in the <br />future. <br />Along with the Kittitas County Chamber board and CEO that serve on committees,state boards,leading <br />business associations and affiliations with influencers throughout the country.The positions will serve <br />on local Economic Recovery teams,business associations,non-profit groups,and have regular <br />communication with public health,governor's office,and others. <br />What goals and deliverables have you set for this position?How will you measure success?The <br />Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce 2021 objectives are attached.By adding the Director of <br />Economic Advancement these goals and objectives will change.Each objective will include a level of <br />desired outcome and measurement.Please review the attached. <br />5.Indicate if the proposed position is consistent with the following applicable state,regional and <br />local plans and priorities for economic development.Please include the pertinent sections of the <br />respective plan(s)as justification.Please explain in detail how this position is compatible with the <br />plan(s): <br />El Overall Economic Development Plan -Officially Adopted June 2019* <br />The trio of positions will help to achieve the goals found in the Kittitas County comprehensive <br />Plan,noted in Chapter 10 on Economic Development.This will be the area in which the <br />proposed Director will create a timeline of goals and deliverables to be met.Specific areas will <br />be as follows: <br />•Business Retention and Expansion <br />•Recruitment/Relocation to the county <br />•Low impact to resources and land <br />•Commercial/Industrial Infrastructure <br />•Property/Land inventory at the airport <br />City of Cle Elum Comprehensive Plan -Officially Adopted June 2019* <br />The work of Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will continue the partnership with the <br />City of Cle Elum by following goals and policies found in their Comprehensive Plan <br />chapter on Economic Development.Specific areas will be as follows:
