KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM June 14, 2021 <br />Board members present via WebEx: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others via WebEx: Dan Carlson, Mike Flory and Jessica Miller, <br />Community Development Services; Joshua Fredrickson, Candie <br />Leader and Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Neil Caulkins, <br />Prosecuting Attorney; and Pat Nicholson, Fire Marshal. <br />At 1:34 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />REQUESTING APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION DECLARING A BAN ON OUTDOOR <br />BURNING AND FIREWORK IGNITION OR DISCHARGE <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson presented. Fire Marshal Pat Nicholson <br />initiated a burn ban effective 12:01 am June 4, 2020. The code <br />section requires a resolution go before the Board for <br />implementation of the burn ban within 14 days. <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve Resolution 2021-090 <br />declaring the ban on outdoor burning and firework ignition or <br />discharge. Chair Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br />MAY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMIT ACTIVITY <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson provided update on the residential <br />building permit activity for permit submittals and permits <br />issued for the month of May. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />There is no other business. <br />Meeting adjourned at 1:39 p.m. <br />2021-6-14 MINUTES 1 <br />
