1.8.4: Where appropriate, promote trailheads at or in conjunction with park sites, schools, and other community <br />facilities to increase local area access to countywide trail systems and reduce duplication of supporting <br />improvements. <br />1.8.5: Where appropriate, coordinate telephones, emergency call boxes, or other means by which trail users <br />can summon fire, emergency aid, police, and other safety and security personnel should the need arise. <br />1.8.6: Define trail improvements of a design and development standard that is easy to maintain and access <br />by maintenance, security, and other appropriate personnel, equipment, and vehicles. <br />1.8.7: Support an effective trail maintenance and restoration programs including the use of Adopt -A - <br />Trail for citizens and organizations to provide park maintenance and litter pick-up activities. <br />11 <br />
