Board of Health Minutes <br />April 15, 2021 <br />2 of 3 <br />Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on the following topics: <br />+ Phase 2 vs. Phase 3 update <br />o Last minute change of guidelines from the Governor kept Kittitas County in Phase 3. <br />• Phase 3 guidelines for schools <br />Encouraging vaccinations/ vaccine outreach <br />April 10th Johnson and Johnson Vaccine Clinic <br />o Vaccine still on pause, looking at more data. <br />• Vaccine reaction data locally in Kittitas County. <br />There were questions from the board regarding how to support Public Health in encouraging <br />vaccination, as well as discussion about the outlook of vaccination. <br />Business <br />IMT Update <br />Chelsey Loeffers quickly stated that she had no additional IMT updates for the board, as Dr. Larson had <br />already covered her topics. <br />Environmental Health: Upcoming code, policy, and process revisions <br />Jesse Cox updated the board regarding the following process and procedure updates: <br />• Fully utilizing the CAMAS calendar <br />• Adding time logs to vehicle mileage logs <br />a 72 hours' notice of intent for well drilling <br />® Site plan clean ups for well site reviews <br />• OSS design distribution update and as-builts <br />• New food applications tailored specifically to mobile food trucks <br />• All food forms now available in Spanish <br />There were questions from the board regarding the well inspection contract between KCPHD and <br />Department of Ecology. <br />Syringe Exchange Update <br />Lauren Wickerath gave a presentation to the board with information regarding KCPHD's syringe <br />exchange program. <br />There were questions from the board about reception of fentanyl test strips, as well as questions about <br />services in Cle Elum. The board also asked about naloxone in the jail, and when it is distributed. <br />BOCC Action Items <br />Chelsey Loeffers reviewed the University of Washington NEXUS contract with the board, and asked for <br />approval of this contract. <br />Motion to approve the Public Health Director's signature on the University of Washington Nexus <br />Contract. _ <br />Motion 04-02: Motion to approve the Public Health Director's signature on the University of <br />Washington Nexus Contract, Laura Osiadacz moved to approve the Public Health Director's signature <br />on the University of Washington Nexus Contract. Brett Wachsmith second. All approved. Motion 04- <br />02 carried to approve the Public Health Director's signature on the University of Washington Nexus <br />Contract. <br />
