Board of Health Minutes <br />March 18, 2021 <br />2 of 2 <br />There was discussion regarding the IMT command structure changes, and the rotations of the Deputy IC <br />position. <br />Health Officer U date <br />Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on the following topics: <br />Current Incident rate for COVID-19 Infection <br />• Vaccination rates in Kittitas County <br />• All counties in Washington going to Phase 3 on March 22 <br />4 COVID-19 and schools <br />• COVID-19 variant rates in Washington State <br />• COVID-19 infection surges and waves <br />There were questions from the board regarding general population resistance to receiving the vaccine in <br />lower risk groups, vaccine supply and location sites, COVID-19 local vs. regional metrics, bus and camp <br />capacity for 5th grade camp, what COVID-19 infection looks like after getting the vaccine, and when <br />Kittitas County will receive Johnson and Johnson vaccine. <br />Business <br />Legislative Update <br />Tristen Lamb gave an update regarding the following house bills: <br />• HB 1152 — Substitute bill has been brough forward an approved, HB 5641. WSALPHO worked <br />closely with the bill sponsor on a striker that is an LHJ preferred alternative to what was <br />originally proposed. <br />SSB 5149 — Foundational Public Health Services funding, beginning in fiscal year 2023. <br />• ESSHB 1258 — Pilot program to allow for micro enterprise home kitchen operations. <br />Letter to Kittitas County Public Hospital District #1 <br />Tristen Lamb asked to board to sign a letter to Kittitas County Public Hospital District #1 in recognition of <br />the hard work of KVH leadership and employees during the COVIC-19 pandemic. <br />Motion to approve Board of Health signatures on letter to Kittitas County Public Hospital District #1 <br />Motion 03-02: Motion to approve Board of Health signatures on letter to Kittitas County Public <br />Hospital District #1. Laura Osiadacz moved to approve Board of Health signatures on letter to Kittitas <br />County Public Hospital District #1. Brett Wachsmith second. All approved.
