• Safe operation of the sign -making machine; use all PPE as required. <br />• Set and retrieve traffic count equipment. <br />• Oversee+te-nf the County's traffic pavement markings. <br />• Maintain data for sign location, condition, reflectivity, and inspections. Update records manually or with <br />computer system as directed. <br />• Conducts monthly inventories of all stock signs and poles and report discrepancies. <br />• Oversees the inspection of all signs on a 3 -year cycle. Supervises the repair and replacement of signs <br />as required. <br />• Supervises road striping contract operations. <br />• Exercises skill and judgment in dealing with the public. <br />• Serves as Lead Bridge Inspector for all non -N131 bride inspections and as second inspector for all NBI bridges. <br />• Enters bridge inspection data into the State's bridge inspection inventory database software. <br />• Writes bride repair orders and oversees said repairs. <br />This job description is a summary of the primary functions and expectations for this position. Additional <br />department- related duties may be assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />• High School diploma or GED_ <br />• Five (5) years of F^'a�+WGFk experience in construction, traffic control, road maintenance or related field. <br />• j-EwEequivalent combination of education andL experience may be considered in lieu of the qualification <br />listed above. <br />• Experience working independently <br />• Valid Washington State Driver's License WITH a Class A CDL endorsement or ability to obtain endorsement <br />within one 1 year of hire. <br />s Current Washington State Flay gr's Card, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire. <br />* Certification as a Washington State Department of Transportation Bridge Inspector, oras otherwise <br />accepted to conduct Counbridge inspections at the direction of the County Road Enginpertor ability to <br />obtain within one (1) year of hire. <br />• A criminal history and background check will be performed on qualified candidates.
