Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff schedule a public hearing for May 4' at 2 PM local time and prepare the <br />required Engineer's Report supporting establishment of Micheletto Road. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Micheletto Road was vacated pursuant to Resolution 2019-096. <br />• An adjoining property owner desires re-establishing Micheletto Road and all <br />property owners agree to the re-establishment. <br />• The re-established road provides a proper turn -around supporting PW <br />maintenance equipment. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Petitioners lobbied for the vacation of Micheletto Road in 2019 and PW responded by <br />supporting the request with Board of County Commission action in Resolution 2019-096. <br />Shortly thereafter, an adjoining property owner approached PW expressing dissatisfaction <br />with PW's noticing on the vacation action. PW offered to install a new access for the <br />property owner from Swauk Prairie Road, but the property owner declined. That <br />property owner has now worked with the adjoining property owner providing right of <br />way dedication to PW re-establishing Micheletto Road. The new road provides an <br />appropriate tum -around at the end of the road supporting PW maintenance vehicles. Re- <br />establishment addresses concerns resulting from the previous vacation effort. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The dissatisfied property owner has now worked with the adjoining property owner <br />providing right of way dedication to PW re-establishing Micheletto Road. The new road <br />provides an appropriate turn -around at the end of the road supporting PW maintenance <br />vehicles.
